Victoria’s Secret & Co. (NYSE:VSCO): Sales outlook disappoints

Shares in Victoria’s Secret & Co. (NYSE:VSCO) fell after a weaker sales outlook, $6 billion revenue projected for the year ahead, down from expectations of up to $6.3 billion. The stock is down almost 40% in 5 years, why? The lingerie retailer has bit hit with a lot of issues like, changing consumer preferences challenging Victoria’s Secret’s narrow beauty ideal, increased competition from brands like Savage X Fenty and ThirdLove, reputational damage, criticism for its marketing practices and treatment of models. And finally, operational challenges, lower sales in physical stores and rising costs. So, would you buy?
